Matt Milner joins us to talk about the Windows Azure platform AppFabric.
Abstract
Not all cloud solutions involve putting all of your code in a datacenter. Many solutions will involve hybrids of on-premise and cloud assets that need to be connected. The Service Bus, part of the Windows Azure platform AppFabric, provides the messaging capabilities required in a cloud architecture. In this session, we will discuss the different messaging scenarios supported by the Service Bus including notifications/events, exposing internal services to the internet, and private “tunneling” of messages. Security is always a concern when sending data over the internet, so we will also examine the Access Control Service, which provides the central authentication for the Service Bus and can be used to authenticate users to your own services.
